        HELLO PEOPLE!!

How r u today? i hope u guys in a good condition

In part 1 I have discussed a lot about music/songs . So in part 2, we will learn to dissect the song, such as its structure, and then the meaning of the song's lyrics.

🎶

I'll give you 1 song that I've been listening to recently, namely the song Exile by Taylor Swift ft Bon Iver

The Lyrics

I can see you standing, honey With his arms around your body Laughing but the joke’s not funny at all And it took you five whole minutes To pack us up and leave me with it Holding all this love out here in the hall I think I’ve seen this film before And I didn’t like the ending You’re not my homeland anymore So what am I defending now? You were my town Now I’m in exile seeing you out I think I’ve seen this film before I can see you staring, honey Like he’s just your understudy Like you’d get your knuckles bloody for me Second, third, and hundredth chances Balancing on breaking branches Those eyes add insult to injury I think I’ve seen this film before And I didn’t like the ending I’m not your problem anymore So who am I offending now? You were my crown Now I’m in exile seeing you out I think I’ve seen this film before So I’m leaving out the side door So step right out There is no amount Of crying I can do for you All this time We always walked a very thin line You didn’t even hear me out (Didn’t even hear me out) You never gave a warning sign (I gave so many signs) All this time I never learned to read your mind (Never learned to read my mind) I couldn’t turn things around (You never turned things around) Cause you never gave a warning sign (I gave so many signs) (So many signs) (So many signs) You didn’t even see the signs I think I’ve seen this film before And I didn’t like the ending You’re not my homeland anymore So what am I defending now? You were my town Now I’m in exile seeing you out I think I’ve seen this film before So I’m leaving out the side door

From the lyrics written, having a poetic allusion seems to have meaning and tells a confused expression of a pair of ex-lovers who meet each other after breaking up.

The expression is raised from 2 sides between men and women.

In the lyrics sung by Justin Venom, it describes more as an expression that represents the man with his confused feelings, about how to see his ex in living his life to move on (why did it take so long to move on.....)

Meanwhile, Taylor Swift represents the feelings of women who are confused about why when they broke up, the ex did not give any warning signs that their relationship was not going well. Suddenly it just broke.

The expression of the debate that occurred there was mutual self-defense, on the other hand in the breakup in the past, Justin Venom had given many signs, but Taylor Swift denied that Justin Venom had never given any warnings or signs. The expression appears in the Bridge section which is sung alternately by the two.

In the end, the meeting was supposed to fix their relationship, but it didn't, as they instead blamed each other and likened their toxic behavior to the film's predictable ending.

Instead of trying to solve their problems, Taylor chose to "leave the side door" (leave their relationship behind her) because she had tried (and failed) enough to make him try.

[Verse 1: Justin Vernon]
I can see you standing, honey With his arms around your body Laughing but the joke’s not funny at all And it took you five whole minutes To pack us up and leave me with it Holding all this love out here in the hall

[Chorus: Justin Vernon]
I think I’ve seen this film before And I didn’t like the ending You’re not my homeland anymore So what am I defending now? You were my town Now I’m in exile seeing you out I think I’ve seen this film before

[Post-Chorus: Justin Vernon]
Ooh, ooh, ooh

[Verse 2: Taylor Swift]
I can see you staring, honey Like he’s just your understudy Like you’d get your knuckles bloody for me Second, third, and hundredth chances Balancing on breaking branches Those eyes add insult to injury

[Chorus: Taylor Swift]
I think I’ve seen this film before And I didn’t like the ending I’m not your problem anymore So who am I offending now? You were my crown Now I’m in exile seeing you out I think I’ve seen this film before So I’m leaving out the side door

[Bridge: Justin Vernon, Taylor Swift & Both]
So step right out There is no amount Of crying I can do for you All this time We always walked a very thin line You didn’t even hear me out (Didn’t even hear me out) You never gave a warning sign (I gave so many signs) All this time I never learned to read your mind (Never learned to read my mind) I couldn’t turn things around (You never turned things around) Cause you never gave a warning sign (I gave so many signs) (So many signs) (So many signs) You didn’t even see the signs

[Chorus: Taylor Swift & Justin Vernon, Taylor Swift]
I think I’ve seen this film before And I didn’t like the ending You’re not my homeland anymore So what am I defending now? You were my town Now I’m in exile seeing you out I think I’ve seen this film before So I’m leaving out the side door

[Outro: Justin Vernon & Taylor Swift]
So step right out, there is no amount
Of crying I can do for you
All this time
We always walked a very thin line
You didn't even hear me out (Didn't even hear me out)
You never gave a warning sign (I gave so many signs)
All this time
I never learned to read your mind (Never learned to read my mind)
I couldn't turn things around (You never turned things around)
'Cause you never gave a warning sign (I gave so many signs)
You never gave a warning sign (All this time)
(So many signs) I never learned to read your mind
(So many signs) I couldn't turn things around (I couldn't turn things around)
'Cause you never gave a warning sign (You never gave a warning sign)
You never gave a warning sign
Ah, ah
